October 22, San Rafael, CA: CGS Project Director Patricia Berne will speak at the 17th annual Bioneers conference on a panel entitled "The Perils and Promise of 'Edge' Technologies."

October 14, Oakland, CA: CGS Program Director Sujatha Jesudason and Project Director Patricia Berne spoke at "Toward Fair Cures: Integrating the Benefits of Diversity in California's Stem Cell Research Program." The conference was hosted by the Greenlining Institute, the UC Berkeley Stem Cell Center, and the Children's Hospital of Oakland Research Institute (CHORI).

October 13: CGS Associate Director Marcy Darnovsky's podcast interview was posted as part of the launch of the Women's Bioethics Project's series, "The Scientists & the Ethicists." The series, hosted by WBP Research Fellow and bioengineer Emilie Clemmens, "digs deeper into issues raised by the books in the Women's Bioethics Book Club such as `designer babies' and genetic engineering."

September 28, San Francisco, CA: CGS Associate Director Marcy Darnovsky spoke at "Ethical Worlds of Stem Cell Medicine" on a panel entitled "Tissues, Subjects and Procurement."

September 20-21, Seoul, South Korea: CGS Project Director Emily Galpern traveled to Seoul, South Korea to speak at two events on women's human rights and biotechnology. Sponsored by the NGO Korean WomenLink, in conjunction with the Seoul Women's Plaza and Ewha Women's University, the events featured international speakers for an audience of Korean women's health advocates.
