SYMPOSIUM ON HUMAN CLONING, SOCIAL JUSTICE, HUMAN RIGHTS, THE ENVIRONMENT: WASHINGTON DC, FEBRUARY 25

CGS, the Worldwatch Institute, and the Heinrich Boell Foundation are co-sponsoring the symposium “Human Cloning and Genetic Modification: The Challenge to Social Justice, Human Rights, and the Environment,” Tuesday, 4:00-5:30 pm, at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Washington DC. Speakers include:

  • Richard Hayes, CGS executive director
  • Jurema Werneck, coordinator, CRIOLA Afro-Brazilian women’s organization
  • Gina Maranto, author, The Quest for Perfection
  • John Passacantando, Greenpeace USA executive director
  • Brian Halweil, Worldwatch Senior Researcher
